Why APPLES IN OCTOBER?
Our name is a metaphor. The apples left at the end of the season are the sweetest and richest apples you can get... but they don't always look the best! We wanted to create a brand for ladies approaching their middle years who want comfortable, stylish clothes that don't age them. Most clothes are made and designed for young bodies. Those that aren't don't tend to be the clothes that we want to wear. So we aim to fill that gap with comfort, quality, flexibility, a broad range of sizes, flattering lines and fun.
Our mission is to bring you the highest quality, most luxurious clothing items with our unique embroidery designs. Sustainability is the most important thing to us so we promise to only sell the most organic, sustainable and eco-friendly products we can; many of our products are made from a polyester blend that contains recycled bottles and other scrap plastics.
Whilst we love all things embroidered, we dislike the shiny rayon threads commonly used in the embroidery business. We prefer something a little more matte and sustainable. So, instead, we are using a new plant-based thread made with a new technology avoiding plastics and crude oil use. We hope you like the look and feel of our designs.

Returns Policy
Here at Apples in October, every item is made to order. This cuts down on the large amount of clothing waste and means that you get exactly the item you want in the colour and size you want with the embellishment you choose. Because we offer this increased choice and sustainability, we are proud of our "slow fashion" ethos. As part of this, our returns policy does not mirror those of many fast fashion companies. If you order an item and find it to be the wrong size, we cannot refund you or process a return on that item as it has already been made specifically for you. If, however, you need to return an item due to an error or a fault at our end, then please do get in touch and we'll be happy to fix this for you. All of our clothing comforms to standard sizing so you will fit the size you normally wear in other brands. If you're unsure which size to order, do get in touch and we'll be happy to guide you through your purchase.
